I do agree with that somewhat. I suppose what I mean is that animation companies (within a budget and other parameters) need to produce content. It is an unfortunate truth sometimes they need to make a “cash grab” of sorts, a film made with a tight budget and less than optimal polish to make their money back, and then some, so they can work on a project they want. For the record I don’t think this company is doing that, I am just being ignorantly optimistic. Competition however makes these companies strive for more. Realistically this movie will probably flop. I would just like it to surpass all of our expectations and be better than what we expect. You are right though.

I’m not sure I agree. I think if this does well, that sends a message to Hollywood that says quality isn’t much of a factor when it comes to people paying to watch an animated film.

“direct-to-video” pretty much sums it up. I would hope it does somewhat well though. We need to animation companies out there to keep our beloved industry healthy and competitive.
