I realize that I'm contributing to this discussion rather late, but here are my dream projects:

1. A speculative biography of the early life of the famous Kenyan elephant matriarch, Echo (info on her can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echo_(elephant))

2. A musical retelling of the Algerian Jewish folk tale, “The Sabbath Lion” (for a more culturally accurate portrayal of the Near Eastern/North African world [with equal care in portraying the traditions of both Judaism and Islam])

3. A series of films based on Avi’s “Tales from Dimwood Forest”: RAGWEED, POPPY, POPPY AND RYE, ERETH'S BIRTHDAY, POPPY'S RETURN, POPPY AND ERETH

4. A musical retelling of the story of Sundiata Keita, founder of the Mali Empire (for a long-overdue look at the human cultures of Africa)

5. A film of undetermined plot that focuses on the ongoing sixth mass extinction and the importance of preserving biodiversity (inspired in large part by Jim Henson’s THE SONG OF THE CLOUD FOREST)

It would be fantastic! By any chance, have you seen this before? A Disney Animator created some visual development for an animated "Wicked." They're incredibly well done!

Oh, The Twits. A book that was so shocking yet so hilarious to my pre-teen self. That would make for a great stop motion film! I think I need to read it again. :p

A.Why didn't Morgan and Chelsea give their ideas?

B.I'd like to make this pseudo-musical about a German opera star in the 1950's who travels to the Caribbean and becomes enraptured by the music there like mambo, samba, son cubano, bossa nova, biguine, rumba/cha-cha, and cumbia. She also falls in love with an aspiring musician but fears what her family will say, kind of like chico and rita what with the music and characters constantly being sperated.

Or maybe something like two princess sisters who escape the tower they've been locked all their life & set out to kill their father who trapped them to begin with all while an amateur knight tries to talk them out of it, with a sound track similar to phil spectors wall of sound

Or perhaps a turn of the century English explorer who tries to find shangri la but instead comes across a rainbow pegasus with a psychedelic rock soundtrack

Or a fairy/elf who needs the help of a witch to save her brother from an evil sorceress who's using him as part of a plan to become almighty.

Or a slice of life about an autistic 20 something who tries to get a girlfriend all while trying to simply live in a big city independently (i.e. with two friends).

Or a movie with a chick who's a terrorist in a future metro who loses her arm and gets it replaced by a talking robotic replacement and fears she's losing herself.

I'd also really like to make the david wiesner book flotsam into a short film and like the book have no words.

Like others i want to adapt a few lesser known fairy tales like the firebird, or the girl who would be king, or make my own version of the little mermaid were she's a cephalomaid and it's a Bollywood soundtrack and setting.
Any takers?
