I won’t spoil anything but the movie only goes downhill from the clip shown. The rest of the numbers are forced and out of place. It wasn’t set up right to be a musical. Th casting is pretty weak except for the main four characters. I’ll admit Dove Cameron did better than I would’ve expected but everyone else is subpar at best. The parents don’t match their animated counterparts at all (especially Jafar and Cruella) and the whole thing feels weak. There’s an attempt at a love story that starts off to ridiculous for me to really care about. For me the only reason to watch this movie is to see the really cool costumes and the nod to Aaron Stone. 2 out of 5 stars.

Pros: Premise, costuming, mythos, song lyrics, and choreography
Cons: Hit or miss casting, 1st song genre, and the ipad intro

As long as I don’t think too hard on the idea of classic Disney villains procreating (seriously, who would hook up with Cruella?), I’m willing to give this a shot.
