Great podcast! I agree with you all: it is what it is. It’s what I expected from a movie called ‘Minions’.

I actually treated myself to seeing this in the theaters and really didn’t like it when I first saw it. But, on a rewatch on DVD, I liked it a lot more! Not sure why?

I definitely want that lava gun. (Use with caution!) But the Overkills stole the movie for me. A supervillainess and her husband in a-head-over-heels relationship surrounded by piles of gold and stolen art was so much fun to watch. I predict a lot of Scarlet and Herb cosplay in the future.

Haven’t seen Minions yet but this might be my fave podcast yet, mainly because I was in the international 5-star reviews! woohoo!

Since Minions is a Prequel it really isn’t a problem that you reviewed it first. Despite the fact that it is the third movie in the franchise.

That’s what I was thinking, Katie. It’s the same thing with the gadgets in the 1960s Bond films. They have technology that we haven’t developed yet, and they’re set in the ’60s 🙂

That’s the way technology works in real life; the military is usually at least half a decade ahead of the civilan market when it comes to being technologically advanced. I would think that villains would always be trying to develop bigger & better weapons, and, as a result, their technology would be more advanced than the “common people’s.” 🙂
