Agreed. It entertained me for the moment. I won't be buying the Blu-ray, or any other such things. I can speak to the quality of the film though. It doesn't come near to breaking my top ten films of all time, but it was good.

I thought it was a fine film, writing my review as I speak(and as I am at my work) but for film that was aimed more at kids then adults the jokes did seem to fly over a lot of kids heads, the adultsin my theater were the only ones laughing at the pop culture jokes "the most trusted name in politics, Richard Nixon!"

On a side note, with the opening here and the 2D portions of Sponge Out Of Water, I'm wondering if 3D only wows me now when it's done to things that are meant to be flat? Strange really.

Good review!

I'm right there with the score. Just watched it and I was thoroughly entertained. Mason however would have hated my theater, it was filled with the particular demon he so fondly calls children (it is apparently in vogue for near toddlers to say bad words in movie theaters. This has little to do with the movie, which I loved, but I thought Id share because the kids made me think of Mason in a movie theater.) That being said the kids laughter really suited the slap stick humor. I laughed at parts which I did not find particularly funny because the kids where laughing. I don't think this film will stand the test of time, but it was enjoyable for a initial watch.
Morgan makes a great point in referencing 'Shrek'. I can assume that the whole Minion related franchise is reaching saturation, but who can be sure. As long as their movies remain profitable, sequels are sure to follow. I do want them to branch out and find the next great film premise like DreamWorks did. At this point I would love if had the depth of 'How to Train Your Dragon'. Not only did H.T.T.Y.D. have a entertaining story but it took us to very emotional places. It also spawned a very enjoyable series (Check Morgan video reviews). I wish the best to Illumination Entertainment, go enjoy the film RotoNation
