Titanic’s soundtrack is still (in my opinion) the best movie soundtrack of all time!

When I was around 6 or 7, my grandma gave me the soundtrack to ‘An American Tail.’ This was my first soundtrack and my introduction to, not only film scores, but the music of James Horner. Since then I have been a fan. I’ve always considered him one of my top 5 favorite composers along with other greats such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and James Newton Howard just to name a few.

One of my all time favorite soundtracks by James Horner (besides Titanic, of course) would have to be Casper. Now you might be a fan of the movie, and you might not. However, listening to the movie’s score on CD might change your mind. It is absolutely incredible. There is one track, in particular, that moves me every time I listen to it. The track is called ‘Casper’s Lullaby’ and it is hauntingly beautiful! For those of you who might be unfamiliar with it, I recommend checking it out on YouTube. You will not be disappointed!

It’s sad that we lost such a great composer and even sadder to think about all the great music that we’ll never hear now. I’m grateful that he left us with such a long playlist of great music. It will be that music that we’ll remember him by. Rest in Peace Mr. Horner and thanks for all the music!

He did a great job with the background music for Pagemaster! And also did well with the other films too!!

His music lifted my soul, and somewhere out there and if we hold on together are some of my favorite songs. He did a great job making American tail and LBT dramatic and depressing. He made balto action packed. RIP James. Your career will live through your awesome work.

His catalog of work is nothing short of amazing. He had a life well worth celebrating, although we will mourn the loss.He had a huge impact on film and general and therefore the world Thank you James Horner you were a gift, and your legacy is proof of that.
