Personally I’m not so sure. Parents are the ones who eventually decide on a film, and Inside Out is a film that is infinitely more relatable to parents. The minions movie will do well, but my prediction is that it’ll be a bigger DVD hit.

Ratatouille was a huge world hit, and I think this will attract the same international crowd.

Whatever happens, it’ll be an interesting next month in animation 🙂

This really makes me feel much better from the box office results! I mean it is really critically loved, and really quite amazing as original material to win a ton of money like that, yeah it truly is a winner in its very own right ^.^

I wonder what will happen next weekend. Could Inside Out overtake not just JW, but Ted 2 and Max as well to have at least one weekend at the top of the domestic box office?

I pray for Inside Out to go along the lines of Frozen ($1 billion) with unexpected box office success throughout the summer while facing heavy contenders. With a universal appeal and an animation studio to match, Inside Out is bound to be a very bankable film!!!

In reply to aquapyro. I was thinking Minions would go along the lines of Shrek's spin-off Puss in Boots when it comes to the box office (in similar comparison to the 2nd DM film with Shrek 2). After watching it in the cinemas, I feel meh in comparison to what I'm about to watch (and that is Inside Out!!!).
