I would say it rivals some of the best show writing today. It completely appeals to my preferences in entertainment. It treads some similar ground in animation, but that is by far the worst thing you could say about it. Its a modern day cartoon with all the learned sensibilities one would come to expect. Please go watch the first season, and be amazed, or at least entertained.
