This is a Treehouse of Horror episode. Nothing in them matters to the main show. Characters have died dozens of times. It will last 1/3rd of an episode, which is how long one THoH segment runs for. None of it will bleed into the actual show, the Treehouse episodes aren’t “real.”

I do wonder as to how gruesome the Bart death will be. Or to that point how they will bring him back, and how many episodes he will be absent from the season. Brian’s death, looking back, did seem like a misstep.

The Simpsons has always been a staple in my house until season 23 where I just stopped watching it. But I’m sure they will be trying to do tons of new things in order to keep their seemingly sinking ship afloat. I love that cartoon yellow family like it was my own, but it seems they are having a slow way out. I do want some Ralph Wiggum closure though, he is probably one of my favorite characters.
