Season 1 was my favorite. IMO show peaked in season 2. Season 4 felt like I was watching Matrix Revolution’s while simultainiously playing Bioshock.

I was sad when the Avatar series *officially* ended, The Last Airbender was so part of my childhood, thank you so much for the bittersweet memories!

I hope that we will see a Blu-Ray release of Avatar the Last Airbender down the road. Maybe a mega box set with both shows.

While I agree that Book 4 wasn’t as epic as Book 3 (but then again, Book 3 was out of this world INSANE!), I’d argue that Kuvira’s motivations were more complex than taking over some land. Her despotic obsession with order was the perfect yin to Zaheer and the Red Lotus’s chaotic yang. In fact, if you compare the Red Lotus to the Joker, then Kuvira would be a twisted version of Batman, keeping with the character analogies who best signify the conflict of Chaos vs. Order.

It’s for that reason I was really hoping for a showdown or at least a powerful confrontation between Zaheer and Kuvira. Oh well, Book 4 gave us some brilliant Beifong ownage moments to make up for it. 😀
