In reply to V. Aladdin and The Little Mermaid are my favorites too! I do know that Sofia Coppola has a live action version of The Little Mermaid in production right now. I'm really interested to see how that film pans out given Coppola's distinct artistic flair. I'm pretty sure that it will be much more like the darker original than the Disney version in any case.

I’m on board with you! As for lion king, ever saw those popular YouTube videos of the guy who befriends lions? I’m sure they could pull Lion King off if they wanted to (though I really hope they won’t, that doesn’t seem like a good idea…). Now Mulan is a very sound choice 🙂

After seeing Cinderella, I’m all for it! Mulan is one of the best choices among Disney movies that could ever become a live-action… Seriously, all those action scenes are gonna look aaaamazing!!

I’m fully on board for this. Except for Mushu I think this will be super cool. I just don’t thing Mishu will look right and I’m worried about the songs. The songs in the movie are amazing, I’m just not sure live-action will be able to pull it off. When I think live-action musical I think high School Musical. I’m not a fan of live action singing unless it’s Broadway. We’ll see I guess. But one thing’s for sure. The fight scenes will be awesome.

Well this confirms one thing that no one has talked about for a long time. Mulan is considered a Disney Classic and is not part of the “Underrated clan” (I.E. The Great Mouse Detective or Meet the Robinsons) nor is it considered the lessor Disney Renaissance efforts like Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules. It ranks up there with The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. The reason I made this comment is because there has been a debate for years of what Disney films after Lion King and before the Disney Revival (The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Wreck It Ralph, Frozen and Big Hero 6) are considered just as good as the classics like Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast.

In reply to Amanda. I totally agree! I would love to see a Mulan movie like the one you described :) Cinderella approach all the way and stay true to the original. True to your Heart, right? Well Disney, you should stay "True to your Art" and not mess up this amazing movie. And they should totally bring back Eddie Murphy for Mushu's voice.
