I saw it! And I loved it! And why am I writing like this!

Home is a fabulous movie with great animation, story with a twist, and even some emotional moments. I have a few nit picks like "captain smek is a bad captain, so why is he the dj at the party. He should be banished" or "I love this movie, but Jeffery katzenburg is considered a disney villain by Animat". But that does not mean Home is not enjoyable. For instance, I love an American tail, but the size difference of the cats and mice is weird. My personal favorite characters from Home were Smek and Oh. I like the characters who steal the spotlight and Steve Martin was a perfect choice. The voice and animation of smek are flawless, like Ratagain. Oh is very relatable, as a geek who is sort of minipulated by a leader. Like me and my dad....... But anyway he is the underdog, which has been done ten million times (flik, turbo, milo, blu, dusty, flint, just to name a few). But just like Animat, I think it's the way it's the way they execute the movie instead of the formula. In the end, Home will not disappoint, and I will buy it on my Apple TV when it's released on home video.

I'm saying he's not typecast I'm saying he's incappable of doing anything different because he can't.

But I may see the film given the cinemascore.

Yeah, but that's the point. Pre-Sheldon, he did a variety of roles. But post-Sheldon is when he started to get typecast. Even if you don't agree, he definitely was typecast for this one. If you see the movie, you'll understand.

Only seeing this because of Steve Martin and Jim Parsons so I still have doubts but still I cannot give up actors like I said before
But really I saw another reviewer saying Rihanna totally sounded like she smoked to be a little kid, yeah not a good sign in my book

Just got back from seeing this, and your review basically hits it on the nose.

I loved the visuals, between the way the Boov changed colors to reflect emotion and to show where they were getting hit, to Tip's hair and how fantastic it looks, I really enjoyed the animation aspect.

When it comes to the cast... Yeah, I was picturing Sheldon almost any time Oh spoke and it was so annoying. Tip's voice as well kept distracting me as well. In fact, there's a scene at the beginning that's a flashback of her with her mom, and I thought it was her mom speaking at one point, instead of Tip. So basically, they definitely could've done a better job casting.

Plotwise, it was okay. Not fantastic, but not terrible. There was a point halfway through where I was rather confused cos it seemed more like a near end scene than a halfway scene, though that might just be me. And the end... No spoilers, but I most say, I was getting some Chicken Little vibes.

Surprisingly, the theater I went to was packed for this movie, with my friend and I struggling to find two seats together. Unlike the last Dreamworks film I saw, where there were only two other groups of people. Hopefully, that means that they'll be profiting from this movie, cos I really hate to see them struggling so much financially.

This review was on the nose of when I saw it too. It's sort of reminds me of the evolution of DreamWorks in a way. It starts off a little bumpy but overtime you begin to really see for what it's worth and feel glad for having been through the experience. It's not for everybody but it certainly can find a place in the world, like Oh did. ^-^
