I loved this movie, I thought it was better that it’s predecessor (Which I also loved). As for the life spans of the characters in contrast to their species in Real Life I look at it like this: These animal character exist in a universe where they are essentially the humans of their world. In that regard I believe that the life spans of the characters are along the lines of humans rather than that of their animal species. As for Kung Fu Panda 3 I can’t wait.

In reply to The Animation Commendation. Oh yeah, I was also thinking the same thing! The "chosen one" actually escapes death, even gets put in a basket/box by his mother to save him, is parted with his biological family, and is told of his true origin and duty years later. (If only I could get some of those yummy-looking dumplings for our Passover seder this year...)

Cool podcast!

I always found similarities between the story in this about Lord Shen/Panda genocide/Po in the basket and the events of the Prophet Moses and the Pharaoh.

In reply to Matthew Latham. Jennifer Lee is listed as the first female director for a film by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Perhaps some people when reporting that try to incorrectly generalize it to all animated films, instead of just WDAS.
