But that shouldn't matter. I wish more animated films had the balls to kill off popular characters instead of playing it safe for the kiddie audience. It probably did cost it the Oscar, which is an award that has WAY too much importance placed on it. After all, like the person above said, this is the same voting body that believes "Best Animated" really means "Favorite Cartoon for My Kid", which included one voter who called Kaguya and Song of the Sea "freakin' obscure Chinese Things", and which included another voter who admitted to voting for "Feast" because they are a dog lover....

HTTYD2 could have won at the Oscars. The CG animation is awesome and it rivals with Disney's but the big letdown is killing the well loved character plot is uncalled for and they didn't play safe with the younger audiences. So much for their family reunion trailer which I fell to watch this movie almost (they really tricked us though) if it is wasn't from someone who already watched this movie... And that's the reason why they lose to Disney's Big Hero 6 in the Oscars.

Wait. They said that word for word. Do you express my emotions it's just that I do not know how hearing this that people who are very used to rating movies or like making them with the Academy are so harsh and calling it beeping Chinese thing will the Academy has to work on it a lot why can't they treat animation like live-action there's no difference unless I need except that it is drawings coming to life. Animation is a medium not a genre. Stupid Dwayne the rock Johnson

I don't really know an animated film that uses it. I'll look and see.
