2013: Oz: The Great and Powerful
2014: Maleficent
2015: Cinderella
2016: The Jungle Book
2017: Beauty and the Beast

That just leaves Dumbo and Cruella.

Based on the past few years, I’m expecting this to either go the darker Maleficent/Alice in Wonderland route or the straight-forward Cinderella route. Personally I’d prefer the latter, especially since I feel like the whole story is already quite dark so there’s no need to stretch it even more. Also with the cast they’ve announced, I’m pretty confident that it being a musical will end it working great!

I’m honestly pretty excited for this. The casting they’ve gathered so far has been nothing short of amazing and hopefully it does the original animated classic justice.

It seems awesome, but I hop it doesn’t turn out to be the plot of the original movie all again like Cinderella , but i’m excited right now.

I cannot wait for this movie!! And Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts is also just really quite perfect!! I mean I totally can see this into something I will just instantly fall in love with!

to be honest, i would’ve wished the film isnt a musical. I mean, we already have a musical, and to me, musicals work best in animation. beauty and the beast could’ve been a retelling in the veins of Cinderella, without songs like Cinderella, and with space to expand more on the story. but i guess this is fine.
