I think the perfect “sequel” for BH6 would be a TV series. They did a great job laying the foundation for the franchise in the movie, but only the characters and relationship between Baymax-Hero got well developed (which was good, because 1) they did it properly, in a way that is profound and not confusing because of too many sub-plots and 2) they left us with a taste of “I want more”). With a TV-series they would have enough space to really develop each character, and to keep going on and on without compromising the franchise (because we all know a TV- series is much more easily forgotten than those terrible DisneyToon full-lenght sequels… and it can easily be rebooted as well, if they screw up the 1st time 🙂

An animated Disney channel series seems more likely. Disney has no problem with cheap Disney Toons sequels, because they can easily be ignored or forgotten. But they are much more protective of their franchises when it come to official Canon theatrical release.
This is why they are so nervous about making Frozen 2. A poorly received sequel might harm Frozen’ s reputation and value as a moneymaking franchise in perpetuity (Broadway stage musicals, dolls, clotheslines, Disney Park attractions, ‘re-releases, etc.)

Well I did not like Big Hero 6 that much but I am open to seeing a sequel but again they might turn it down like they did to Frozen 2 but I could be wrong as well too
