I don’t make a secret that I think Disney’s live-actionification of its animated films is probably one of the most annoying cash grabs the studio has ever done. That said, am I the only one that feels this is a missed opportunity to make a theatrical version of the Broadway show?

One part of me says that CG animation will allow for a more interesting design for the Beast . . . another part of me wonders if Emma’s interaction with the Beast will be half as authentic without her interacting with an actual actor . . . another part of me says I shouldn’t doubt Emma’s talent . . . hm . . .

In reply to brandon. I didn't mean appearance wise. I mean the acting, emoting as a 'beastly' creature who is teetering more towards animal than human. In that regard, I have my doubts.

Thus the suspicion that he may be the ‘Beast’ by way of makeup or performance-capture CG.
