That is a good point, and yes, it does sound like an interesting story to tell... at least in animation - where any story is possible.

There are still some rage points on this plot though [Noah's "list", for one thing...], but I'll admit that after rewatching the trailer a couple more times, it does look like a movie I'd watch. The younger characters don't seem annoying like other kid characters are, the parental characters act natural in the given situations, and I honestly want to see what twists the plot will take, despite those... um, colored creatures' designs and colors really standing out as being really unrealistic and - ironically - cartoony.

Because most of our entertainment revolves around classic literature, whether it's Shakespeare, ancient mythology, or religious texts like the Bible. I don't see this film as a "distorted retelling" of the Noah story, but rather an entertaining twist on the concept of Noah's Ark. Accuracy to the source material is irrelevant because in this case it seems the biblical account is the context, not the target.

Well, at least it seems tamer compared to the last Noah's Ark movie, "El Arca". Still just as inaccurate. XD

I think I'm not sure what that was, but it does seem like a typical survival story with the Great Flood as a backdrop. I'd still watch it, though the lack of accuracy to the Bible story is making me go, "So why do it in the first place?"
