No, I meant on any other show, things like, a moving floor pattern, or an item switching positions, I would just chalk up to a production error, but with Gravity Falls, everything seems very calculated. I doubt anything that looks like a mistake, actually is. I think they have a plan and purpose for everything.

Are you seriously saying that references to The Shining & purposefully painted-in Goddess motifs are just “production errors?” Because I just don’t see how such intentional imagery can be a mistake.

If you are saying Disney simply overlooked the gore and that’s how this episode got past its censors, I can agree with you that’s another possible scenario.

In reply to She Says. Interesting thoughts! Normal I would chalk a lot of that up to production errors, but this show seems really purposeful with whatever they do, so I'm betting a lot of it has specific meaning! I can't wait to find out what that is!

It’s a psychological conditioning technique, developed by a guy named Ivan Pavlov. It’s a pretty famous case, and has probably been used in other media a lot. Hers a link if you want to know more.
