I'm sort of torn, a Jetsons movie would be out of this world, but with Hollywood's track record in adapting old cartoons into movies, I have a feeling this will be another hollow, terrible attempt at modernizing an old series... BUT I truly hope I'm wrong.

Interesting fact: When the property landed at Warner Bros (after a live-action version failed to take off at Paramount), they had more than a dozen writers doing various drafts over the last 15/20 years, all while being shuffled through various directors.

To get an idea of how many versions of the film were floating around Hollywood until this point, here's the list of various writers who all gave it a shot:

Adam Sztykiel

Jared Stern

Van Robichaux

Evan Susser

Larry Karaszewski

Scott Alexander

Stan Zimmerman

Jim Berg

Amy Jones

Jonathan Roberts

Adam Goldberg

John Altschuler

Dave Krinsky

Christopher Marcus

Stephen McFeely

Sam Harper

Justin Nowell

Thomas Nowell

Dan Forman

Paul Foley

Eric Luke

This was all before the film would eventually land in Lieberman's hands. Interesting how they've given him the job when they could have pulled ANY draft off the shelf and make a movie out of it. The guy's currently untested, but he has spec scripts all over Hollywood.

On a final note: there's no mention of 'Warner Animation Group' anywhere. Wonder why that is?
