Yes it was an Eight Minute short but I loved when Looney Tunes had Yosemite Sam as Scrooge. They would also do a movie version which had Daffy Duck as Scrooge. That special is not bad also.

Aww, Mason why are you always bashing on Eartha Kitt's music? First Yzma's deleted song from when The Emperor's New Groove was Kingdom of the Sun and now with "Santa Baby" XD. I found your question to animators and artists about what they might listen to while creating ironic since I was in the middle of drawing while listening to this episode. My personal answer: I either listen to various podcasts and interviews or just the music I normally listen to.

With Tiny Tim, the way I always thought was going on was that Tiny Tim's condition was curable but that Bob didn't have enough money to pay for the treatment or something. And that Disney Princess time line was very interesting and I'm just going to put it out there but I wouldn't be surprised if Ariel was actually hundreds of years old since in the original fairy tale mermaids live much longer than humans do in exchange for not having an afterlife like humans do.

Now go forth and watch Treasure Planet so you can come back and compare it to the Muppets Treasure Island like with this one! Do it now! And Happy holidays, Rotoscopers!

Great episode, guys!

That playing of 'Thank You Very Much' made my day :D ! I understand that it's hard for y'all to do a sing-along, but I definitely appreciate you keeping my request in mind whenever y'all ever get together for a big musical recording session, lol!

(Oh, and Chelsea, in Guyana, they use "y'all" a lot, so it tends to come out when I talk or write, lol)!

I've seen this short only once and I vaguely remember liking it, but it was before I became obsessed with 'A Christmas Carol' and wanted to see all the adaptations of it.

Of all the adaptations I've seen, my favorite is the animated one from 1997 with Tim Curry as the voice of Scrooge. I know that it's not the best one, by far, but I can't help but like it.

But, the best portrayer of Scrooge, in my opinion, is Alistair Sim from the 'Scrooge' film from 1951. I'm not a huge fan of George C. Scott's performance as I feel he isn't "bitter" enough. And I'm not a fan of Michael Caine's performance because I felt his Scrooge is too quickly persuaded (although I still love Michael Caine)!

"Mickey's Christmas Carol" started out as a record album (yes, with 6 original songs) in 1975. In that version, the Christmas Spirits were: Merlin (Past), Willie the Giant (Present) and the Witch from Snow White (Future). Gideon and Foulfellow from Pinocchio were the Collectors for the Poor.
Christmas music recommendations:

Christmas in the Stars. It's a Star Wars Christmas album from the 80s featuring the very first 'professional' recording of one Jon Bonjovi in "R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas." If you can imagine it as a Rankin Bass stop-mo special, then it is pretty good. I have loved it from the moment I found the LP.

Of course, if you want an obscure Christmas album that will make you laugh, cringe and say "why?", then check out the "Pokemon Christmas Bash." At first I regretted listening to it, then I found myself buying a legal copy, and now I listen to it every year. It is terrible in the best way.

This film holds such nostalgic value for me! The moment I turn it on around this time, and that song begins to play, all those half-forgotten feelings of being a kid at Christmas come flooding back immediately! And one thing I noticed this year is if you take a look at the opening credits again, you'll find that one of Hiro's relatives worked on this film :-D Seriously, just skip to 1:04 and you'll see for yourself:

Here's hoping you and the rest of the Rotoscoper's community have a very Merry Christmas and God bless us, everyone!
