Most of what you typed is opinion-based, so I won't argue that, but saying that Frozen has "too many holes" in the plot is just plain wrong. There are no plot holes in Frozen since everything can be explained away. And claiming that Elsa is "selfish and immature" tells me that you are not getting her arc at all, despite watching it on multiple occasions, suggesting extreme amounts of bias.

*sigh...couldn't agree more, some people just have to let the whole world know that they are NOT a fan of some movie by crashing in to a fan site party to flip some tables.

You forgot the beginning scene of "The Little Mermaid". The reveal of Prince Eric's ship, the ship is CG. Probably my favourite Hand Drawn/Computer Generated hybrid movie is probably Brad Bird's "The Iron Giant" (1999).

I thought that Rapunzel was kind of badly written. It was a little too much for me to buy that Rapunzel, a girl in isolation her whole life, is better than Eugene at escaping from guards and for a person mentally abused that people are EVIL she didn't have a problem with anyone and opened up to them.

Compare to Anna and Elsa. Anna was separated from her sister which caused her desperation for love and affection. Elsa is a recluse, and doesn't open up to people because she knows the danger.

I will admit that I was hooked on "Frozen" from the moment I heard the opening music to the movie on opening day. I'm surprised it wasn't at the "Let It Go" sequence too.

As a Disney fan, I can completely see the charm of this movie to all ages and why Disney wants to milk this icy cash cow: it focuses on sisters [something that I haven't seen much of in animated movies recently, Disney or non], royalty [because Disney's gotta add a Princess or two... or a QUEEN to their line-up of Disney Princesses, right?], and completely sends us for a loop with what the story is trying to be [modern Disney movies - they manage to blindside us once and a while. This started with "Enchanted", I swear... and I have no problem with this]. The characters are good foils of each other, as well as the typical Disney fairy-tale formula [which isn't a new thing]. I thought the whole subversion of the meaning of "true love" was a great touch, and I'm surprised I didn't see the ending coming when I first saw it. It's about time that "cliched-love-interest-character #4213" wasn't the one that had the power to change the ending; for once it was something more realistic, more stronger than a relationship cemented only by a song and a couple of days [or hours] together - it was the power of family.

Also, I say I love the animation and the messages much more than the actual story itself. Also-also, there's Olaf. Enough said.

However, as of recent, I have nearly reached my limit of the "Frozen Mania" that the world seems to be stuck in. Sure, I'll still listen to my favorite song from the movie ["Love is an Open Door", by the way; I LOVE Hans' singing voice. It's so dreamy, despite how he ended up later.] and sometimes feel like enjoying a version of that other song from the movie [either the original, a alternate YouTube cover or in Japanese (which I feel is better than Menzel's... No really, all the songs are really great, but especially this)], but I feel that moderation is what should be used for this movie. Heck, I haven't seen "Frozen" in full since I saw the Sing-Along version in theaters earlier this year [I've only seen it 3 times, all in theaters - Opening Day, Christmas Day and the sing-along edition], and the fact that they recently re-released the DVD with bouncy-snowflake karaoke lyrics for about 13 mins of song is just a sign of how much Disney knows that even if they add or change one little thing, the masses will buy it. I haven't even watched my own Bluray/DVD combo pack yet, but I know I won't be buying the newest DVD. Can someone say 'cash-grab'?

In the end, I am seriously fearing that the "Frozen Fever" [...ha] will not be cured any time soon. With a 7 minute short, a Broadway musical, numerous sequel books [mainly the "Anna and Elsa" series, which has more bonding times and adventures for the royal sisters post-movie], and probably more merchandise due out in the coming year, as well as the rumor that there's an actual "sequel" in the works [Thanks, Idina Menzel, for that possible slip-up], I'm sure many little girls will be shivering with anticipation for the future of "Frozen" while their parents [and probably a butt-ton of critics online] groan "Let it go" with displeasure.

I think I will merely tolerate what is up ahead, no matter what it may be. I'll still check out the new stuff once it comes out, but that's it... and that should be okay.
