Personally I'm much more of an animation fan than a comic one. I don't mind comics, but often I find them overworked (something thankfully normally absent in animation since every extra detail is that much more effort).

On top of that, they're just too darn expensive these days. When I was younger (here he goes on the "in MY day" talk again...) I bought a new Ninja Turtle and Superman comic every week at a little mini mart down the street from my grandmother's shop. I'd work at the shop (busy work, really) and then take what I earned (more like a weekly gift from gram) to buy comics and hug them close as I walked back down the street. Was a terrific experience, but also one possible because comic prices were decent enough. Now it's through the roof by comparison! Just can't keep up with that like I might have when I was younger.

I hope the series does well, though! Seems like he's very passionate about the project, which is great to see.
