Thats what I first thought Valka was, and then I saw the movie, it made more sense with her not as a villain since Hiccup does deserve a parent since yeah not gonna spoil it but you know what I mean if you saw the movie

Well..to be honest..I would’ve liked HTTYD2 better if Valka was much more villainous. Now that I’ve seen this, I would’ve wondered if they kept that in the final film, since Drago Bludvist is one of my most HATED villains. It would’ve been like “Prince of Egypt”. Geez…first Elsa from “Frozen”, now this? I hope the “Penguins” movie gets me back to DreamWorks.

Author’s note: While this version of the film obviously didn’t materialize, some of the staging and cinematography for that sequence was kept in.

For example, the dragons flying out of the sanctuary and Valka slipping on the ice as she runs out to discover who’s attacking her.

So the plot would have been…Hiccup finds her, she gets angry, she goes to Berk, and they have to stop her? As interesting as Villainous Valka would have been…that doesn’t sound too cohesive.

Darren’s style reminds me a lot of Heather Campbell’s (Makani)…which means I LOVE IT!
