Anyways, I love all the Harry Potter references in this article! Speaking of Harry Potter, Belle’s mom is a serious ravenclaw! She died because she was trying to save books (and Belle) from the ogres. At first I thought she was trying to save something VERY important but nope, just the whole library. As a book lover myself, I understand where she’s coming from but I probably would only try getting my top 5 before fleeing the castle. I also like how they are starting to bring in elements from the original fairy tale, such as the demon mirror as well as Elsa’s mom being named Gerda (although I hope she’s not the same Gerda as the one in the original story, I can’t bear the thought of little Gerda drowning at sea). My only problem is the way Belle acted in the beginning of the episode, I know when she’s in the Snow Queen’s lair you could use the excuse that the mirror was influencing her but it just seemed random and out of character that she suddenly starts using Rumple’s dagger out of nowhere straight from the beginning.

And since the mirror was made by the devil in the original fairy tale and Fantasia is being featured as well, maybe Chernabog will make an appearance? Probably not but it would be pretty cool….

However I didn’t like the development of Belle’s character in this episode she felt like she was actually selfish and dumb for not saving Anna from that cliff or that she was not realizing that Rumple had lied to her when that awesome mirror clearly explained to her the dagger was fake. Actually the only episode I think where Belle’s character had really improved was back in season 2 on the episode the outsider in that episode Belle really felt like well Belle. But after that episode I feel like she’s losing her Belle touch and turning more into her alter ego Lacey. If this is how her character will continue then she won’t be Belle more like Lacey.
