In reply to Monica Rae Jennings. I believe the minion's language is based off Tagalog, which is the official language of the Philippines. If you know Tagalog it sounds very similar

As anticipated, the trailer is making this film look way better that the poster. WAY better. I like the whole Nature Documentary vibe it has before the end. Heck, it could be like Histoty of the World Part I. Narration through the first part with characters taking over as the story progresses. Looks like it’s gonna be good!

I really love this new Minion Trailer. I had no idea that the Minions lived that long. It had me laughing throughout the trailer. I wonder if the Minion language will be subtitled? I can’t wait to see what kind of villain Sandra Bullock will be voicing. I’m so pumped for this movie! 😀

This trailer is really good! Really really funny and it made me really interested in this film! I can’t wait to see more of the human characters like Sandra Bullock’s villain but I’m really pumped anyways (and I’m not even that big of a Minion/Despicable Me fan)

I was expecting to have some Minions sing to me some song in their gibberish language, but instead I get a pretty entertaining trailer! The movie looks like a lot of fun! I bet Universal and Illumination will make a bucket-load of money with this film.

I have edited the previous article to reflect what we knew about the arrival of the trailer, but as is increasingly common with trailers for hotly anticipated films, a trailer did come out anyway!

As for the trailer itself, I like it. It’s surprisingly not as manic as one would expect from a film about the minions. Also, BIG props to Bryan Lynch (the film’s screenwriter) for crafting a backstory and mythology for the characters that’s interesting and actually makes sense!

I’m no big fan of the Despicable Me films, but this one has piqued my interests considerably. Again, I have Brian Lynch to thank for that (it helps that he also wrote Puss in Boots, another spinoff film and one that was very good).
