Love this movie! This villainess was so freaky to see in 3d! Definitely added to the creepy factor!

Lotso+Other Mother? Ummmmm weird but I won’t judge
I love how scary she is, I saw this when I was old enough so basically when it came out and I just adored her style and that voice made it all worth while! And her design is just amazing! Laika is just incredible with their hands!

One of my favourite villains ever – Neil Gaiman really knows how to write baddies well in every book, and Laika captured this one to a tee. I think what I find most unsettling about her is she never offers Coraline anything TOO crazy extravagant. Sure, the garden and the tasty dinners are exaggerated, but they’re not out of the realm of possibility. It keeps her grounded in a very disturbing way – she’s an extreme version of real life tricksters and predators, and that’s what makes her so frightening to me. Not to mention the unforgettable design and the wonderful job Teri Hatcher did voicing her.
