Is this fully rendered? Paperman retained distinct lines, I think I see some in the humans but can’t tell.

If anything, this clip illustrates that CG can look like ANYTHING. The idea that we have to settle for the same design over and over again is just boring.

Beautiful colors and lighting! But I wish the dog was hand drawn, he just looks like an ordinary cell shaded cg model to me, kinda stiff movements especially compared with the dogs in Lady & The Tramp. Anyway besides animation, this looks fun and charming so I’m looking forward to seeing it!

In reply to Aliscen Khaw. -__- Meander itself is supposed to make u feel both 2D and 3D. anime is completely 2D, despite using 3D. they aren't trying to make them look realistic.

I believe a word we can all use here is, “DAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!”

I mean, that puppy is so adorable!

As far as the animation is concerned, it doesn’t seem quite as impacting as Paper man most likely because it is in color and not black and white. This is, after all, only the 2nd project we have seen using this style and software.

The story feels cute but i’m kinda disappointed at the visuals cause u can still feel the “3d-ness”. It couldn’t acheive a believable 2d feel as some of the japanese cartoons could( they were done in 3d but painted and animated quite well tat u’d believe it was 2d)

I love the animation style a ton and that dog is A CUTIE but this made me feel hungry and I didn’t feel that timeless feel like Paperman had

I guess that’s why they said they aren’t ready for a fully-colored Meander film.
but I do think it looks fantastic. one unique thing I can immediately see is the lack of contour lines, which is pretty interesting considering u gotta draw lines for drawing things.

It looks fantastic! In my opinion, Meander looked better when it was used in Paperman. Maybe they’re still working out the bugs?
