It looks, at first glance, like a FiM ripoff, but I don’t believe it is. It’s just a brighter, more colorful update that a show called “Rainbow Brite” always needed. The animation and design for RB looks really cute, and I think the voice talent [mainly Emily Osment as the titular magical girl] sounds okay so far, and I think it’ll probably work… if only it were more widely available for viewing, that is. That’s the only huge disappointment here.

However, if I manage to find any of the episodes once it begins, I’ll definitely give it a try before I officially write it off as crap like most of the Internet seems to already be doing. Didn’t we learn from the new MLP stuff that it’s not cool to judge a reboot by its cover [read: trailer]?
