Animated by possibly the greatest to have ever picked up a pencil. At least in terms of draftsmanship! To keep track of all those stripes… amazing, as Justin said below.

I’d like to see a showdown between him and Sabor from Tarzan!

Mad props to those who animated Shere Khan. Stripes are extremely hard to animate and keep consistent throughout the character’s motion. Even more so for the mere fact the technology wasn’t the same then! Also, try and notice the way he moves- you can get a sense of his weight and the way his ‘would-be’ muscles move. AMAZING!

Shere Khan: My #1 fave Disney villain! I’m looking forward to see how Benedict Cumberbatch plays him in the WB movie.
