I was 8 when I saw this film in theatres. To this day, Clayton’s demise still chills me. I think the fact that he was only human is what makes him scary because think of how many real people took the same dark path of insanity he did. It’s reality.

I actually just saw this movie. I thought Clayton represented civilised men at the time as being nothing more then brutes and kind of a savage and Tarzan who grew up in a jungle away from civilisation of the time as much more human and less of a brute. It’s interesting to see this and then see the recent Rise of the Planet of the Apes not to mention Avatar(Greedy humans and the savages that aren’t savages at all).

I really hate this villain, I only like when he dies since its so powerful, you never see that in an animated movie!
