Disappointed it won’t be a musical. Which brings the fact, other than the Muppet films (which aren’t original Disney characters), Enchanted was the last live action Disney musical. Are they purposely avoiding musical films, legacies of the Disney history?

I’ve seen the movie and while it isn’t my favorite, I still enjoy it for what it is. I think the main thing to remember here is that the original, while it has a certain nostalgic quality to it, isn’t that good. While I will miss the music, I think this adaption wants to make the movie more realistic and raw, similar to Where the Wild Things Are. I loved Where the Wild Things Are in theory but in execution I didn’t enjoy it. Let’s hope the Pete’s Dragon adaption does a better job at it.

In reply to Haley TheRadiant. I hate to add harsh winds to the rain but I don't think Live-Action/2D-animation will fly in this day and age now. The last movie to do that was the first Spongebob Squarepants movie and that was back in 2004. The story doesn't even call for a mixed-media approach. So yeah, CG is expected but logical.

I never saw the movie so I won’t judge……..a lot
I mean couldn’t it be just more nicely done hand drawn like seriously? And I know the world is changing into CGI but I just kinda hate hand drawn just going down :'(
