I think Marvel is giving this film help since it should stand on its own, and its getting fine rep online so far, so I think this could be a great thing!

I think it makes sense they wouldn’t want kids reading the Marvel comic thinking it’s going to be like the movie, it’s hardly recognizable anyway. What confuses me though is that there’s already a manga version being released in Japan that ties into the Disney version, I wonder if they’ll ever release that here?

In addition to the financial reasons given, I think it’s also because they don’t want people to think it’s in the MCU. When this movie was announced I saw a lot of people wondering if it would be connected to the MCU even though it’s animated. -_-

Thanks what I was saying all this time, I don’t understand why everyone thinks that Big Hero 6 is a marvel film, it has NOTHING to do with Marvel. Big Hero 6 (the animation) is not Marvel Property, it has nothing to do with Marvel unfortunately, Big Hero 6 (the animation) is all INSPIRED by the stories of the Marvel owned Big Hero 6 Comic. Big Hero 6 (the animation) is distributed by Walt Disney Studio and made by the Walt Disney Animation Studio, marvel has no link with this movie whatsoever. just like how Tangled is based on the story Rapunzel and Frozen of The Snow Queen.
