I agree. I like the style of the movie, I just wish it was more rendered and less “shiny” looking. That or maybe blended the 3D more with the 2D effects by making it look a little flatter.

What an awesome blend on 3D and 2D animation. It would definitely be interested in seeing this as a feature film for sure. It has a unique look about it and it’s always exciting to see something different that doesn’t have that cookie cutter, CGI look that we’ve grown so used to (tired of?). I’ll be looking forward for more info about this movie.

I just read the article over at Hollywood Reporter and I found out that the teaser is actually a short film (Henchmen: Ill Suited) being shown at Siggraph. It was directed by Adam Wood, who will of course be helming the feature film adaptation.

I guess, for purposes pertaining to the news, they rebranded it as a ‘teaser’ for their upcoming film.

The 2D-esque effects were particularly cool and caught my attention. It’s definitely something that set the film apart from the others out there.

I’m also excited to see a new studio make waves in feature animation, much like Reel FX. I’m all for more unique animation films, so hopefully Bron Studios’ ‘Henchmen’ delivers.
