I agree with you. The penguins were my favorite parts of the “Madagascar” franchise and after a series, I’m sure they can hold up a movie just fine. Especially if it’s going to be an entire spy-parody with thrills, chase scenes, and “Mission Impossible” traps. Bonus for Cumberbatch too but it’s strange for me to hear Sherlock’s voice coming out of a wolf.
