I say that Will Vinton should come back to HIS company. I don’t know all the details, but I feel that he was wrongfully let go of HIS company.

I love LAIKA… but I feel they should wait until AFTER Boxtrolls comes out before jumping any guns. I have a bad feeling that’s gonna… well, bomb. “Underperform”, whatever – industry types use the terms interchangeably now, it seems. Boxtrolls just seems less charming than their last two films, and Para-Norman already struggled to turn a profit if I’m not mistaken…

I do wish them good luck though! And it’s rad they’re in Oregon. I personally always wondered why more places – VFX houses mostly, since there’s so many high-profile money problems there (just watch “Life After Pi”) – don’t just leave the wildly expensive California?

Exciting news! The CEO of Laika has recently revealed that the studio is planning to release a new film each year so I hope this is a sign that these plans are becoming reality!
