That they were told to leave immediately without even gathering their stuff seems harsh. I’m a bit skeptical of that. Otherwise I’ve been really excited for this one but I’m doing a summer semester in college so it’s difficult to plan around that. Although someone’s already ‘spoiled’ a major plot development for me so that was a letdown…

my only hope it that the worldwide gross will save em,cause seriously HTTYD2 is doing so well here and still sold out after 3 weeks! not so much hope for the gross from the U.S. o.e to help dreamworks.

I think the main reason that this is struggling is because Maleficent is overwhelming it at the box office. It should have stayed opening on June 20th

This makes me sad. Unfortunately, I’m away for the summer and there’s no theater within two hours from me, so I can’t see the film, but it’s really upsetting to hear about these layoffs. Especially the fact that they were forced to leave immediately without returning to their cubicles. That sickens me. Seriously Dreamworks? Why would they do such a cruel thing?

I think Fox marketed the film poorly, they should have stayed with Paramount.
