In reply to The Animation Commendation. CGI is faster and cheaper, the problem is it loses it's 'wow' factor since all we start to see is 3D, when it's 2D where the real charm is, so we really can't say it 'sells' better when people get bored of it

I’m a little worried on the CGI. I hope it doesn’t look cheap, or anything like that. But I’m glad to see this show return. I absolutely adored this when I was little.

What? No! This show is perfect the way it is! I loved this show as a kid, I’m almost positive that I’ve still got the VHS tapes from when my mum used to record it for me and my brother.
Urgh first Captain Scarlet got a rubbish CGI reboot, Thunderbirds is getting one next year (that is still going to have puppets though and WETA is involved so I have higher hopes for that one) and now The Magic School Bus? They won’t do it justice. STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD TV LAND

In reply to The Animation Commendation. It sells better because it's the majority of what is produced these days. More than that, though, it is far cheaper to animate in CG than 2D for the most part. It requires a much different skill set, and to become a mediocre 3D animator is much easier than a mediocre 2D one, if only because the models provide a work-around for having to be very proficient in drawing.

I’m probably on the same page as everyone else here. CG is worry some, but I am STILL super excited. I LOVED this show growing up. And the current educational TV shows have been something less than satisfying so it’s nice to know that this is happening for younger generations.
