You’ll have to tell us how it turns out for you! I’ve been trying my best to avoid all the “How to Train Your Dragon 2” ads, trailers, etc. so I can go in completely fresh. I have a feeling I won’t be able to keep myself from this however. Power to ya!

I agree with you. These characters are all meant to be human, but each is very different if you take a second to look. Hiccup is more cartoony, Vanellope is a bit more anime (especially with the head to body ratio), Jack Frost is a smoother-faced kid with smaller eyes, and Violet is a character modeled 10 years ago with different hair, eyes, and expressions. They’re all human-esque characters so they’re going to have things in common, but the designs are quite different. I love Hiro’s design. He looks like a normal, nerdy kid (gotta love that grin). As for the sweatshirt thing…everyone wears sweatshirts nowadays so it really shouldn’t be a surprise that his outfit consists of one. I mean, can anyone really think of a better outfit for a (relatively normal) teenage boy?

I’m hearing Guy from Croods too. If anything Guy looks more asian. It’s hard to tell at this point. But Hiro looks like his own character and he looks cute, maybe a little bland with the outfit. But that’s just because we haven’t gotten to know him yet, as long as his personality is fun it’ll be fine.
