But I loved the mythos behind Gojira. Then I saw this year’s, and fell in love. LOVE. This Godzilla was well thought out, everything had purpose and logical reasoning behind it (which is my biggest pet peeve about most films), but this film was well done all around. The only thing that held me back was the acting. The lead guy was just not very good at all. However, considering the important part of the film was not the human aspect of the story, THIS FILM WAS AMAZING!!

I agree with a lot of your points but, in my view, Godzilla was not nearly “bad” enough in this film. I was disappointed by that.
