You're welcome! (Oops, a year later :X)

Anyway, ever since the last comment I made here, I've changed my opinion: I'm optimistic that maybe this will at least reach the "OK" category. My life plan actually has something to do with Mexican animation, that is; Spend a few years working on Disney, as a 2D and 3D animator, and then fund the first professional animation school on my native city. And then after, I'll create my own studio were I'll make personal movies, see if they get positive reviews, and maybe other animation studios will follow my steps :)

But if that happens with this movie or something like that, then meh.

I would love to hear more about what you thought of the film! In my contact with Arnaiz, he mentioned that they've been re-editing the film but I'm really curious on the film particularly because of the process they've taken. I really want to know more about the journey of the film and how that's changed the last couple of years. Any insights?

I totally understand how you guys feel about this and I think you have valid reasons. I guess I just see it as a possibility for better future films. It's a great opportunity for the further development of these small studios and for them to increase their quality. And being Mexican myself, I just feel an instant need to support fellow Mexican artists, that being said, that doesn't mean I won't be critical about the art they produce, and that's because it's just in my nature to look at everything from an analytical standpoint. Anyways, thanks for your input guys!

Alejandro, I am Mexican, too and I am very proud of our talent!
I watched the preview of EL AMERICANO in Rochester, NY and I really loved it.
I have seen other animated movies directed by Ricardo Arnaiz and I enjoyed them. The music, the messages, the colors, the characters..... I think they are amazing!

I'm Mexican too, the only movie I found OK/good at animation was "A Movie About Eggs" and its sequel. Another sequel is coming in CGI and it will suck. Mexican CGI movies suck a lot.
Going back to topic, I don't see this movie to be that interesting for me.

I'm a mexican myself, and always thought that mexican animation is very, very poor. Even the Top Cat movie they made a couple of years ago, with the support of american productors or whatever, did end up being very dissapponting. I don't have any faith in this project, and so, I won't being seeing it in theaters. Sorry for bad english
