I liked both of them, but in music and character development, I prefer the first movie. Some characters are unnecessary and the music was a bit unmemorable, with three-four songs being the exception. But of over-the-top, and hilarious moments, I prefer Rio 2. I didn’t expect much from Rio 2, but even after saying the flaws in this movie, I was surprised. My mom and dad didn’t see he first movie, but they liked this one, so now they want to watch it in Netflix.

Pedro and Nico should’ve been cut from the movie so some of the new characters
like Gabi and Fernando could’ve gotten more development. Also 4 storylines was
too much for 100 minutes, if the movie was perhaps 30 minutes longer they would’ve
had the opportunity to develop some of the stories better. Overall great film,
I’d rate it 3.5/5.
