In reply to poooosted. Norwegian Sami people were actually of Eurasian descent, I believe, not that it matters. I was just wondering whether Dreamworks had copped the same flak as Disney for not including racial diversity in the their Nordic-set films. People seemed to be outraged at another white Disney princess, but not so much at the white cast of 'Dragon'.

In reply to Gideon. Frozen took place in a Nordic region a couple hundred years ago. I'm sure there weren't any people of colour there back then. That 'diversity' argument has no foundation. I don't think the Smurfs got hammered for not having someone with green and orange polka-dots, did they?

I loved the first HTTYD and this looks AMAZING! I wonder why they decided to let loose certain plot points in the trailers, unless it happens very early in the movie. Still, you would think they would want the audience to experience it for the first time in theaters.

Glad to see DreamWorks finally playing with the big kids in terms of story and depth – would love to see it happen outside the ‘Dragons’ franchise as well, though. On a side note, is this film being criticised like ‘Frozen’ for lack of ethnic diversity, in a similar geographic setting?
