Yeah, I was wondering if it'll be religious. As someone who grew up on the originals, I personally think it won't really seem right if they delete that aspect...

In reply to <a href="https://www.rotoscopers.com/2014/03/15/dreamworks-creating-several-new-series-for-netflix/#comment-6346">tt</a>.

Believe it or not they used to turn their movies into TV Series before. But, if memory serves, I'm pretty sure they always tied in with potential sequels or were made to serve as a sort of how it came to be montage. And from the examples you suggested, I'd find Frozen would be the only movie worth having a series over, the issue being how do you tie it into the first movie and not suggest a potential sequel.

P.S. If you want examples of Disney movies turned into a TV Series: Aladdin, Hercules, Lilo and Stitch and the Little Mermaid.

They're pretty old, so I doubt you'd know them, but they were pretty spectacular, in my opinion. However, Aladdin and Lilo & Stitch were created in order to compliment their sequels. My guess is that since there are so many complaints about Disney sequels today the Studio won't bother to create a series for the movie because of an equal amount of negative comments. After all, most Disney fans are complaining about a lack of originality and quality amidst the sequel borders.

Although, in my opinion, I loved the sequels, but I love everything Disney including the new TV series that you seem to criticize.

Why can't disney keep up with this? Their Disney channel and disney XD r all being cetiticized for their materials, so why can't they do these kind of things? For example, make TV series out of their films: Frozen, Wreck It Ralph, Black Cauldron, etc. This can expand the films worlds and flesh out the characters that r previously underdeveloped. I don't know why its such a hard thing to come up with.

If they started turning classic literature into animated series, that would be perfection!

While I am happy for these animated shows, I wish someone would be more daring with the substance. In other words, make more mature animated shows. If we can have vlog shows based on Jane Austen's books, why can't there be an animated show, online or otherwise, made for adults or at the very least more hefty in tone?
