I think a collection of Lotte Reiniger’s work would be a nice addition to the Criterion Collection.

I would hope so, though that would seem unlikely. It’s not like there isn’t work out there that is good enough for the collection because there is a lot. So the fact that they’ve added less than impressive works onto the list before well respected works of animation, makes me think this is more of an ode to the awesomeness of Wes Anderson (which he is awesome).

Yeah, sorry about that. I thought about adding a little blurb about it but for whatever reason I didn’t. thinking about doing an opinion article later covering this a little more. lol.
