I saw the movie in French and it was very pretty! To me it felt very Studio Ghibli (There’s even a Totoro reference), and I’m pretty sure it’s on purpose. There wasn’t much to complain about, the story, the art, the pacing, it was all solid good! It may be a humble movie compared to the other oscar noms but honestly I thought the story was much more well crafted than Frozen’s. European films are hit or miss for me but I was pleasantly surprised, it was very universal and could be enjoyed by anyone of any age! I don’t think it’ll win the oscar, but it’s a very sweet, rewatchable classic.

I thought that everything about the trailer was pretty cute! But I don’t know if I should see it since it seemed a little off for my taste
But it does look amazing but just personally not for me

I’ve been excited for this movie ever since the first French trailer released and I hope
it will have a theatrical release here since all crappy animated movies that
are made in Europe get theatrical releases here except for this one.
