I think this sounds kind of interesting. I like Eric Stonestreet and I've always thought his voice would be good in an animated film. I like the character designs, although I'm not a huge fan of the design of the big brown dog that Eric Stonestreet is voicing. I'm looking forward to seeing a trailer for this when it starts to get closer to its release date.

illumination doesn't interest me, and this brings it down even more. sure, their films r successful, but ive always found despicable me okay, the sequel okay, hop bad, lorax bad. and their upcoming films sound so mediocre and cashgrabbing. minions is an obvious cash grab due to success of despicable me 2. and this pet movie sounds like the nut job and toy story horribly combined, with comedian voices that might only serve as comedic effects instead of as bringing the story forward and give heart to the film.
the only one im interested right now is the Grinch, since I really want to see how they make the iconic characters to cgi. if its turns into another lorax, im done with this studio.

I listened to a podcast recently where Jennifer Lee was trying to get Louis C.K. as the voice of Olaf or something in Frozen. It made me laugh, thinking of Olaf as him, but it got me intrigued to what his voice would sound like in an animated film. Will probably watch it, excited to see what they'll bring to the table. As far as comedians as animated voices, Eddie Murphy did a great job as Mushu and Donkey, but he is very expressive - Louis C.K. is more deadpan. So we'll see...
