Hi , I love both songs but I think that let it go is going to win cause the beat is something super original , while Happy is just like a jazz with smooth rhythm , cause I have already heard lots of beats like that

Ernest and Celestine wins easily; unfortunately it does not have home-field advantage and I’m guessing a lot of people who want Frozen to win never bothered to watch it, either. I would say in story MU beats frozen, and in animation the Croods beats frozen; with both of these films trumping Frozen overall as well. Although I do understand not a lot of people share this view, and I think a lot of the reason why people love Frozen so much is because the characters and theme were “cute”, which allowed for Disney to hide obvious plot holes and story issues with catchy music, splashes of color, and jokes. Whereas with Ernest and Celestine we see on point animation; great themes, style, voice acting, cinematography, character development, and above all else: story. I think the last two is where frozen falls short, so definitely my vote goes towards Ernest and Celestine.

Anyway, because I’m not about to rant, here is basically how things in a perfect world would turn out, and how (I think)it will realistically turn out:
Ideally:
Ernest and Celestine-Oscar
MU
Croods
Frozen
The Wind Rises

Realistically:
Frozen-Oscar
Ernest and Celestine
Croods
The Wind Rises
Despicable Me 2(why was this nominated)

Feel free to leave comments below, and make sure to rewatch all these movies again before the Oscar’s come out! Especially Ernest and Celestine and Frozen (they have the best chance at winning), although Ernest and Celestine doesn’t officially reach theaters until March 14th

I was a little sad that Monster U didn’t get nominated, it wasn’t the best but it should be on there and I hope Frozen will win both nominations or at least song and I know that they would probably pick Wind Rises since its Hayao’s last film but still Frozen was huge!

Why DM2 over MU? I thought Monsters University was WAY better than Despicable Me 2… I wonder why they are hating on Pixar this year? Maybe it’s because they gave the Oscar to “Brave” last year, when WDAS should’ve got it for Wreck it Ralph.. maybe they’re just trying to look unbiased to pixar? O_o
Oh, and Frozen will win. I can feel it!
“Let it Go” MUST win Original Song, I will be soo happy!!! :))

Although MU had its faults, it was better than Despicable Me 2. What gives, Academy? I really want to know the thought process choosing DM2…

“Frozen” is a definite win for Best Animated Feature and I think “Get a Horse!” will win Best Animated Short.

“Monsters University” being snubbed was a HUGE disappointment, as I found it much better than “Despicable Me 2” and better than “The Croods”.

Another disappointment was Emma Thompson being snubbed for Best Actress for “Saving Mr. Banks”. I can only attribute this (and the fact that “Saving Mr. Banks” only received one nomination) to Meryl Streep’s anti-Disney speech that she made. I’m liking her less and less every day.
