Although I enjoyed Tangled quite a lot, Rapunzel isn’t the most interesting main character around, or at least she isn’t nearly as interesting as Flynn. She only comes off as nice, maybe fun, and she does stop being timid especially toward her mother, but change doesn’t guarantee an interesting character. There also didn’t seem to be a reason for her to fall for Flynn other than he’s nice and “seems to like her”. There are those quiet moments between them, but he would only be more of a friend to her, not a lover. Flynn’s feelings toward Rapunzel was done well since there were apparent hints of his growing attraction toward her such as his reaction to her braided hair.
