I’m so glad there’s a review of this movie here – and a positive one! “The Book Thief” is my favourite book, and I can’t wait to finally see it. I loved your choice of the word “haunting;” it fits perfectly to me.

I REALLY want to see this movie. I don’t know why Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 56% (well I’m not surprised, they gave Man of Steel 56, The Hobbit a 65% and Thor 2 a 65% and I disagree with those ratings)

Great review! I’m pretty for this movie, the trailers looked really good. I don’t know of I should read the book first.
